if you’re planning a wedding at the restoration hotel in downtown asheville, these photography highlights are for you!
this was a full-day celebration completely indoors—and it absolutely worked. the restoration is one of those rare venues where the inside has as much personality as the view. the ceremony space feels warm and architectural, the lounge areas are layered with textures and light, and every space is ready-made for moments that matter.
the solarium at the restoration is a dream space for photographers. it’s filled with natural light, framed by big windows, and opens up to rooftop views of downtown asheville. the ceremony happened here, surrounded by soft spring light and skyline in the distance. no need to leave the venue when a space like this gives you both clean light and urban mood. it’s also where we did a few portraits—simple, in-between moments, no overthinking.
this couple had a jewish ceremony full of deep tradition and emotion. from the ketubah signing to breaking the glass, it was thoughtful, meaningful, and personal. and the hora? electric. their band was massive—wall-to-wall sound and pure energy. one of those receptions where the dance floor takes off early and never lets up.
what i loved about this day: we never left the venue, and it never felt limited. everything flowed. every room offered something different. the restoration gave the couple a way to host downtown without the stress of shuttling or weather plans—and gave me everything i needed to make honest, layered photographs.
if you’re drawn to weddings that feel big in spirit but close in connection—let’s talk. i work with couples who care more about meaning than production, and who want photographs that feel like them.
